Retirement Contributions in ANSES: How to Check Your Worked Years and Claims for Missing Years

By: rootdata|2026/07/25 10:00:00

Controlling your retirement contributions before starting the retirement process can prevent delays and subsequent claims. Through the Mi ANSES platform, any worker can consult their Work History and verify if all worked periods are correctly registered. If missing years or contributions that do not appear in the system are detected, there are mechanisms to request their recognition and submit the corresponding documentation.

The registered contributions constitute the basis for accessing a retirement within the Argentine Integrated Pension System (SIPA). Therefore, verifying that the entire work history is complete is one of the most important steps before starting any pension procedure.

ANSES recommends periodically reviewing the pension information, even if there are still several years left until retirement. This allows for correcting inconsistencies in advance.

How can I know how many years of contributions I have registered for retirement?
The consultation can be made for free from the official ANSES page or through the Mi ANSES application.
To log in, it is necessary to have the CUIL number and the Social Security Key. Once inside the system, you must go to the Work menu and select the option Consult Work History. There, the details of the contributions registered throughout the working life appear. The information includes:

  • employers who made contributions
  • declared periods in a dependency relationship
  • registered salaries
  • contributions made as a self-employed worker
  • payments made as a monotributista

In addition to viewing the information on the screen, the system allows you to download and print the Work History. This document is valid as proof and can be used to initiate various pension procedures.

What is the Recognition of Services and when to request it?
The Recognition of Services is a resolution issued by ANSES, through which the agency officially records the registered retirement contributions of a worker. This procedure can be carried out at any time during the working life and it is not necessary to wait until reaching retirement age. Its purpose is to officially record the services with contributions already recognized, facilitating the future retirement process. Once all the information has been evaluated, ANSES issues the corresponding resolution and officially records the recognized years.

Contributions as a monotributista or self-employed: how to verify that they are in the system
The Work History also includes contributions made by independent workers. Those who engage in activities as monotributistas or self-employed can verify from Mi ANSES that all paid periods are correctly registered, along with the corresponding salaries or categories. ANSES recommends frequently checking the pension information, even when the contributions are up to date, as detecting a difference many years later can make it more complex to gather the necessary documentation to correct it.

Steps to initiate a claim in ANSES for undeclared contributions
When a worker detects missing periods in their Work History, they can initiate a procedure to request their incorporation. The first step is to gather all available documentation that demonstrates the existence of the employment relationship during those years. Subsequently, they must request an appointment at ANSES to present the corresponding file. There, the agency will analyze the information provided and verify if it is appropriate to incorporate those services into the pension history. Among the documentation that is usually requested are:

  • service certifications issued by employers
  • pay slips
  • labor telegrams sent to claim contributions
  • documentation that proves the effective provision of tasks

If the company where the work was done no longer exists, it is still possible to proceed with the procedure through other documentary evidence. ANSES considers these situations and analyzes each case individually. When the issue relates to contributions that the employer was supposed to make and do not appear declared, the agency may require additional documentation before resolving the file.
