Three Users Sue Apple for $1.8 Million Loss in Bitcoin Due to Fake Sparrow Wallet

Three iOS users have filed a lawsuit against Apple in the federal court of California, alleging that they lost approximately $1.8 million in Bitcoin after downloading a counterfeit Sparrow Wallet app from the App Store between May and August 2025. The lawsuit claims that even after the victims reported the fraudulent activity, Apple rarely or never took any action, and other fake Sparrow apps remain available in the App Store. Craig Raw, the developer of Sparrow Wallet, criticized Apple for its slow response to the emergence of multiple counterfeit versions of its app, failing to promptly remove the fake apps, with some still existing.
