Salaries of Testers in Ukraine Increased, Automation QA - $3663

In the first half of 2026, the median salaries of Ukrainian QA specialists increased across all major specializations. Automation QA specialists receive the highest median compensation at $3663, which is $438 more over six months. Median incomes for key testing areas are as follows: General QA - $2700 (+$175), Manual QA - $2000 (+$200). Experienced specialists, especially team leads in Automation QA, received raises up to $4800. One in three QA specialists received a raise in the last six months. The highest median compensations by job levels are for department heads - $5000, QA Tech Lead - $4575, and QA Team Lead - $3500. 52% of QA specialists use programming languages, with the highest incomes for those working with C#/.NET ($3275), Java ($3200), and TypeScript ($3050). In Kyiv and Lviv, the median salary for QA specialists is $2500, while in Dnipro, Ternopil, and Poltava, it is $2300. The highest figure recorded is in Zhytomyr - $2750, but the sample size was small. Cherkasy and Ternopil emerged as the leading cities for salary growth. Ukrainian testers abroad earn more - $3300 compared to $2310 in Ukraine.
