On the last trading day of 2025, global stock markets rally to the biggest gain in six years

BlockBeats News, December 31st, thanks to the Fed rate cut and the sharp rise in AI investments, the global stock market is expected to achieve its largest annual gain in six years in 2025. With only one trading day left in 2025, the MSCI Global Stock Index has risen 21% this year.

The Asian market stocks are expected to rise for the third consecutive year, set to achieve the best gain since 2017. In 2025, stock prices reached historic highs as the market rebounded from the April Trump tariff-induced decline on optimistic expectations for economic growth, corporate profits, and loose monetary policy.

However, as we enter 2026, investors are facing higher valuation levels, and policymakers are divided on expanding the scope of further easing measures.

Amanda Agati, Chief Investment Officer at Panning Asset Management Group, said on Tuesday, "For the stock market to continue its upward trend next year, it needs a dovish Fed." Looking ahead to the new year, investors have reason to remain optimistic: over the past 10 years, the MSCI Global Stock Index has had an average increase of 1.4% in January, with 6 instances of gains.
