Odaily News Snail Games (code: SNAL), a Nasdaq-listed game publisher, announced that it is exploring the possibility of issuing its own stablecoin in US dollars, and the evaluation covers technical, legal and financial aspects. To promote the plan, the company has hired George Cao, founder of AscendEX, as an external consultant and commissioned a law firm focusing on the encryption field to assist in handling compliance matters.
After the news was announced, Snails stock price rose 20% during the trading session and finally closed up 8%. (CoinDesk)
